Sabert & WNA Metalized Cutlery Patent Verdict: Update

Update regarding announcement below:

On August 5th, 2011, the Federal Court of New Jersey ruled that the jury verdict relative to the case between WNA and Sabert, regarding the metalized cutlery, must be set aside.  As a result of that decision all claims of WNA's patent are now reinstated and presumed valid.

Sabert wishes to bring to your attention some good news with regard to a patent dispute about metalized cutlery. This dispute between Waddington North America (WNA) and Sabert dates back to 2006. After a jury trial in a NJ Federal Court, that came to an end on April 6, 2011, the jury held that all of WNA's asserted claims in its patent were invalid and not infringed.

This is a really great win for Sabert. It means we can continue to serve our customers with metalized products, such as cutlery, minis appetizer ware, and serving utensils. These items are an integral part of our product line and display what Sabert stands for today - innovative, value added solutions for our customers.
